Terms & privacy
The short version: I only ask for what a dinner needs, I never share it, and you can ask me to delete it. The fuller version is below.
Your information stays with me
When you reach out, I collect only what I need to plan and run your dinner: your name, phone number, email, the address where the dinner is held, the date, the number of guests, and any dietary needs you tell me about.
I do not sell, rent, or share that information with anyone — not advertisers, not data brokers, not other clients. It is used for one purpose: to cook for you and coordinate the evening.
Your address is used to get to your home and to shop for that specific dinner. It is not added to any list and is not used for anything else.
If you ask me to delete the details I hold about you, I will — I keep them only as long as it takes to book the dinner, settle payment, and answer any follow-up question you have.
Booking and pricing
A date is held once we've agreed on it by phone, text, or email. Pricing is quoted up front: a base pay per event plus a per-person amount, shown on the Quiet and Party pricing pages.
The base pay is due 2 weeks before the dinner date, and the per-person amount is due within 24 hours of the dinner date.
I will bring and wash all dishes as needed, so nothing is left for you to clean up.
If the guest count changes after we book, the quote is adjusted to match the new number before the dinner.
Cancellations and reschedules
Tell me as early as you can if plans change and I'll do my best to move the date. Because the base pay covers shopping and preparation reserved for your evening, the handling of that payment depends on how much notice I have — so it's always worth calling rather than assuming.
If I have to cancel, you are not charged, and I'll help you find a new date.
Food, allergies, and safety
Menus are built around what's in season in Maine and around what you tell me you can and can't eat. Tell me about allergies and intolerances before I shop and I'll plan around them.
I cook in your kitchen alongside ordinary home ingredients, so I can't guarantee an allergen-free environment. If an allergy is severe, please tell me plainly so we can decide together whether a given menu is safe.
I handle raw and cooked food separately, keep everything chilled or hot as it should be, and clean down the kitchen as I go.
Photos and your home
I may take photos of the food I cook. I won't post identifiable photos of you, your guests, or your home without asking you first.
The photos and writing on this site are mine — please don't reuse them without permission.
Where I work
I cook at private homes and small gatherings anywhere in Maine. I don't operate a restaurant, so each dinner is served in your own kitchen at the agreed time.
